Long-haul gateways and the cheapest domestic hops.
New Chitose is Hokkaido's main international gateway — direct flights from Hong Kong, Taipei, Bangkok, Seoul, Singapore, and Sydney in winter.
Tokyo Haneda → Sapporo (CTS) is one of the busiest air routes in the world; ~1.5 hrs, multiple departures every hour on ANA, JAL, Air Do, Peach, and Jetstar.
Trains, shuttles, and rentals from the airport.
Direct New Chitose Airport (CTS) → Hirafu Welcome Center. ~3 hrs, multiple operators, ¥6,000 one-way / ¥10,000 return. Daily Dec 2 – Mar 31.

Hand-picked stays across the resort's two zones.
Hirafu has the densest concentration of ski-in/ski-out condos, designer hotels, and izakaya in Japan — Lower Hirafu (lively) or Upper Hirafu (premium, slope-side).
190-key luxury condominium hotel in Upper Hirafu, opened 2022. Onsen, signature restaurants, complimentary ski shuttle.
Designer ski-in/ski-out condos at the very top of Hirafu — the highest residential address on the mountain.
Slope-side condo hotel directly above the Hirafu Family Run — the bestseller for ski-in/ski-out repeat guests.
Boutique 80-room ski-in/ski-out hotel at the foot of the King #1 lift — onsen, restaurant, walk to Hirafu's main street.
Approachable 4-star hotel in central Hirafu with onsen and direct access to the Hirafu base via shuttle.
Pass, lessons, gear, and guides for powder days.
All four Niseko resorts (Grand Hirafu, Niseko Village, Annupuri, Hanazono) on one pass. ~¥9,800 1-day adult in regular season, peak rates higher.
GoSnow at Grand Hirafu, NISS at Hanazono, plus Niseko Supreme — all run English-speaking group and private lessons.
Rhythm and Larry Adler in Hirafu, plus the official Grand Hirafu rental shop — premium powder boards, free swaps, free hotel delivery.
Niseko's gates and side-country are world-class — half-day to multi-day guiding from Black Diamond Tours, NAC, Whiteroom, and others.
Onsen soaks and rest-day excursions nearby.
Snowshoeing on Mt Yotei, Lake Toya cruises, Otaru day trips, Hokkaido sushi tours, Hangetsu-ko snow valley snowmobiling.
Yukoro, Goshiki, Yukichichibu, and Hilton Niseko Village all sell day-use entry — Goshiki's volcanic five-coloured pools are the standout.

destination resort
A quieter corner of Niseko United, anchored by two ski-in ski-out hotels and the same consistent powder that draws the world to Mt Annupuri.

powder-focused
The westernmost face of Mt Annupuri — mellower lifts, easier access to the gate-managed backcountry, and noticeably thinner crowds than Hirafu.

powder-focused
A powder bowl and hooded-quad tree runs on the north face of Annupuri, shared with the Park Hyatt — cold, consistent, and often the least crowded of the four Niseko United areas.
